Is Cutting the Cable Cord Really Worth the Cost?
I recently canceled my cable subscription after realizing I watch maybe five channels out of the two hundred I was paying for, and yet I keep second-guessing myself because live sports and local news are hard to replace with streaming services alone. The question is whether cutting the cord genuinely saves money or just shifts the cost across multiple apps that each charge their own monthly fee, and I've seen my own bill creep up as I subscribe to Netflix, Hulu, and a sports package. I get that a la carte pricing offers flexibility, but when you add up all those subscriptions, you might end up paying close to what cable cost without the reliability of a single interface. For someone like me who values live events and channel surfing, is the trade-off really worth it?
