Is Apple's Vision Pro the future or just an overpriced dev toy?
Is Apple's Vision Pro really the future of computing, or just an overpriced toy for developers? I tried one at a demo and the passthrough was impressive, but at $3,499, I can't see mainstream consumers buying it. The real test is whether third-party developers can create killer apps, and right now the ecosystem feels empty. Maybe spatial computing is the next big thing, but I think it's more likely to be a niche product for pros, like the Mac Pro, rather than a replacement for your laptop.
