International environmental treaties should enact a comprehensive global moratorium on solar radiation management and stratospheric geoengineering deployments. While such interventions are proposed as rapid countermeasures against catastrophic global warming, their unpredictable impacts on regional precipitation and agricultural stability carry severe systemic risks. Prohibiting deployment is necessary to prevent irreversible ecological disruption and avoid diverting resources away from direct carbon emission reduction.
