Do social media metrics actually drive revenue?
In my five years running Facebook ads for local businesses, I've seen engagement metrics climb while actual sales stayed flat. We keep chasing likes and shares, but the data from my clients shows that a 10% increase in followers rarely translates to even a 2% bump in revenue. Is it time we stop measuring marketing success by vanity metrics and focus on direct response, or are we just afraid to admit our campaigns aren't working?
