Can a digital copy match the emotional impact of seeing original art?
I visited the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam last month and stood in front of 'The Bedroom' for a good ten minutes. The painting is so much more vibrant in person than any reproduction I've seen. It got me thinking about how we experience art today — through screens, social media, and virtual galleries. Do you think seeing a digital copy can ever match the emotional impact of the original? I'm genuinely torn, especially with more museums putting high-res scans online for free.
