I've worked in HR for eight years, and I still hear the same tired argument that gay marriage will somehow destroy the institution of marriage. Heterosexual couples have been divorcing at alarming rates for decades, yet no one blames straight people for weakening marriage. Shouldn't we stop scapegoating LGBTQ+ couples and instead focus on what actually makes relationships last — mutual respect, communication, and commitment?
