Is slow travel more meaningful than visiting many countries quickly?
I've visited 30 countries in the past decade, but my favorite trips were always the slow ones — taking a train through the Alps or renting a bike to explore small villages. Many travelers assume packing more destinations into a two-week vacation gives better value, yet I found that rushing from city to city in Japan left me exhausted and with only blurry memories of temples. Could a single-country, multi-week trip actually offer more meaningful cultural immersion than a whirlwind tour of five countries? What has been your experience with slow versus fast travel?
