Is personal productivity about choosing a framework or just eliminating distractions?
I've tracked my work output for 18 months using a simple spreadsheet, logging hours, tasks, and energy levels. Despite trying everything from GTD to Pomodoro to time blocking, I've found that my genuine productivity peaks are not tied to any single system but to deep focus sessions of 90 minutes without interruptions. However, I also noticed that rigidly following any method consumes mental energy for maintenance. So, is personal productivity actually about choosing the right framework, or is it just about eliminating distractions and letting your brain work naturally?
