Can mental health apps replace traditional therapy?
I've tracked my anxiety levels daily for six months, and therapy apps like Calm and Headspace helped me sleep better but didn't touch my core triggers. Real progress only came after I started weekly sessions with a human therapist who could push back on my patterns. So here's my question: can mental health apps ever genuinely replace traditional therapy, or are they just a convenient band-aid? I lean toward saying NO, but I'm curious if anyone has experienced deep, lasting change from an app alone.
