Are food delivery apps killing authentic local cuisine?
I've spent the last six years running a small street food stall, and I'm convinced that food delivery apps are silently strangling the authentic flavors of local cuisine. When you scroll through a delivery menu, you get the same generic dishes from the same glossy chain kitchens, not the messy, time-sensitive specialties that define a neighborhood. Do we really want to trade the sizzle of a wok tossed on the spot for a soggy box that spent twenty minutes in a plastic bag? The convenience is real, but I doubt it's worth losing the very texture and aroma that make a dish memorable. What's your take—should we let algorithms dictate what we eat, or fight for the real thing?
