Should consumers or fast fashion brands bear the responsibility for change?
I've noticed that sustainable fashion is often framed as a personal choice, but when the average person buys 60% more clothes than they did 15 years ago and keeps them half as long, can individual decisions really drive change? Fast fashion retailers like Shein offer dresses for under $10, making it tough to justify spending $80 on a durable piece unless you have disposable income. That said, I've seen thrift stores in my area get overwhelmed with donations, so maybe the problem is less about what we buy and more about how we dispose of it. What's your take on whether the responsibility should sit with consumers or with the brands churning out collections weekly?
