Do aggressive sales tactics outperform consultative selling long-term?
I've noticed that pushy sales tactics often backfire, yet many companies still train their staff to be aggressive. Last week a car dealer wouldn't stop calling me after one visit, and I ended up buying elsewhere just to escape the pressure. Is there actually evidence that hard selling works better than a more consultative approach over the long term?
