Are we truly preserving local culture or letting it die quietly?
I've noticed that my hometown's main street now has three coffee shops that all play the same Spotify playlist, and the local bakery that's been there for forty years just closed because the owner couldn't afford the rent hike. We keep saying we want to support small businesses, but every time a new chain opens, we choose convenience over character. Are we really preserving local culture, or are we just letting it die quietly while we post about it online?
