Would paying college athletes destroy team chemistry?
I've coached youth soccer for six years, and I still think paying college athletes would destroy team chemistry. When one player on the roster earns a salary while teammates on scholarship don't, how do you manage that locker room? I've seen how much resentment builds over playing time alone, so imagine adding cash to that mix. Maybe the NCAA's old model was flawed, but a free market on campus feels even worse for the sport.
