Is paying a premium for new PC hardware ever worth it?
I've built three gaming PCs in the last decade, and each time I told myself I'd future-proof by buying the latest GPU and CPU. Six months later, a new generation drops and my 'future-proof' build already feels dated. Is chasing the newest hardware actually worth the premium price, or are we just feeding a cycle engineered by manufacturers to make us upgrade more often than we really need to?
