I've been watching the debate over renewable energy vs nuclear power for years, and it seems like everyone picks a side without looking at the full picture. Germany shut down its nuclear plants and ended up burning more coal, while France gets most of its electricity from nuclear and has lower emissions. Given that solar and wind are intermittent and storage is still expensive, can we realistically achieve a low-carbon grid without nuclear power, or are we just postponing the inevitable?
