Are meditation apps a lasting cure for anxiety or just a temporary fix?
I've been using meditation apps like Calm and Headspace for about a year now, and while they help me unwind, I'm not convinced they're actually treating the root of my anxiety. A recent study I read suggested that mindfulness apps can reduce stress by about 20%, but the effect seems to fade once you stop using them. Could it be that these digital tools are just a temporary band-aid, or do they genuinely rewire our brains over time? I'm curious how others have fared with them long-term, especially if you've combined them with therapy or medication.
