Is individual action on plastic use meaningful without policy change?
I've been trying to cut down on single-use plastics, but I keep noticing how little choice I actually have at the grocery store. Even the 'eco-friendly' packaging often comes wrapped in plastic film, and my local bulk bins disappeared after COVID. Is individual action even meaningful when the system is stacked against it, or should we put all our energy into policy changes and holding companies accountable? I'd love to hear what others have tried that actually moved the needle.
