Should crypto exchanges require banking licenses?
I've been trading crypto since 2017, and the volatility still surprises me—but I'm starting to wonder if the real problem isn't the market itself, it's the lack of clear rules around it. We keep hearing about scams and hacks, yet many investors, including myself, jump in without fully understanding the risks. Should cryptocurrency exchanges be required to get a banking license, or would that just strangle innovation? I lean toward some kind of regulation, but I'm not sure where to draw the line without killing the whole point of decentralization. What do you think—is tighter oversight the only way to make this safe for everyone, or is it a slippery slope?
