Is depending solely on Social Security a losing bet for retirement?
I've been tracking retirement accounts for my clients for over a decade, and I'm convinced that relying solely on Social Security is a losing bet. The trust fund is projected to run dry by 2035, which means future benefits could drop by 20% unless something changes. Even with that uncertainty, I still see people treating it as their primary retirement plan. Should we really be comfortable depending on a government program that's predicted to be insolvent?
