Is tracking macronutrients overcomplicating healthy eating?
I've been tracking my meals with an app for three months, and the data shows I get enough protein and carbs but consistently miss out on fiber and certain vitamins. Nutrition advice is so contradictory—one week eggs are bad, the next they're a superfood—that I wonder if we're overcomplicating eating. Maybe the best approach is just to eat a variety of whole foods and not obsess over macro ratios, but I'm not sure if that's scientifically sound or just lazy thinking.
