Is routine better than willpower for deep work?
I've been tracking my deep work hours for two weeks now, and I found that my best output happens in 90-minute blocks with total phone shutdown. But some days I can't even start because my to-do list feels overwhelming, so I end up procrastinating on YouTube until noon. Do you think we should prioritize building a daily routine over willpower, or is there a smarter way to manage energy that works better for people with unpredictable schedules?
