Does measuring output per hour truly capture what matters in remote work?
I've been testing different productivity systems for years, from Pomodoro to deep work blocks, and I still can't decide if measuring output per hour actually captures what matters. My last sprint at work felt incredibly productive—I shipped three features—but I also ignored half my emails and left a colleague hanging. Does anyone else find that productivity tools make us better at optimizing the wrong things, or is tracking output genuinely the only way to stay accountable in a remote-work world?
