Is online education as effective as in-person teaching?
I've been teaching university courses for six years, and the shift to online learning during the pandemic made me question whether virtual classrooms can ever match the quality of in-person teaching. My own experience shows that while some students thrive with recorded lectures and flexible schedules, many others struggle with motivation and miss the spontaneous discussions that happen in a physical room. Is online education truly as effective as traditional classroom learning, or are we just settling for a convenient substitute?
