I've been teaching an online course for two years now, and while I see the flexibility benefits for students, I'm still unsure if it truly replaces the classroom experience. My own students miss the spontaneous discussions that happen in person, but they also appreciate being able to rewatch lectures. Is online learning actually as effective as face-to-face teaching, or are we just accepting lower engagement for convenience?
