Is remote learning truly effective for deep understanding?
I've been taking online courses for two years now, and while the flexibility is great, I'm noticing that my ability to focus during a recorded lecture is way worse than in a live classroom. I recently finished a statistics course where I watched the videos at 1.5x speed just to get through them, and I barely remember half of the material. Is remote learning actually effective for deep understanding, or are we just trading convenience for shallow knowledge? I'd love to hear if anyone has found strategies to genuinely learn online, because right now I'm leaning toward NO for subjects that require problem-solving and discussion.
