I've been shooting with a full-frame DSLR for years, but last month I picked up a used smartphone and started taking street photos every day. The phone camera is obviously worse in low light, yet the convenience means I end up capturing moments I'd have missed anyway. Is owning a dedicated camera still the right choice for hobbyists, or has the phone truly replaced it for daily creative shooting?
