Stoicism: Wisdom or Excuse for Passivity?
I've been reading about Stoicism lately, and I'm torn between seeing it as profound wisdom or just a way to rationalize passivity in the face of injustice. The idea of focusing only on what's within my control helped me stop obsessing over things like traffic or other people's opinions. But when I see systemic problems like climate change or political corruption, isn't it too convenient to just say "that's not up to me" and shrug? Where do you draw the line between acceptance and action?
