Can we truly train ourselves to overcome cognitive biases?
I've been reading about how cognitive biases shape our daily decisions, and I'm wondering: do you think we can actually train ourselves to overcome them, or are we stuck with the mental shortcuts we've evolved? For example, I tried to counter confirmation bias by actively seeking opposing views on politics, but I still found myself dismissing them emotionally. Maybe some biases are too deep to override, but others like the anchoring effect in negotiations seem more manageable with practice. What's your experience—have you ever successfully changed a habitual thought pattern, or do you think our brains are just wired a certain way?
