I've been in therapy for two years now, and I still find myself searching for a 'cure' for my anxiety, even though my therapist insists that's the wrong goal. We tend to treat mental health like a broken bone that can be fixed, but psychology shows that healing often means learning to live with symptoms, not eliminating them. That idea frustrates me, yet maybe that shift in perspective is the actual breakthrough. Should we really be pushing for a world without mental illness, or should we focus on acceptance?
