Are We Overcomplicating Marketing with Trends vs. Fundamentals?
I've been in marketing for eight years, and I still can't decide if we're overcomplicating it. We chase the latest trends—TikTok challenges, AI-generated ads, metaverse campaigns—but when I look at the campaigns that actually moved the needle for my clients, they were usually built on a simple story and consistent distribution. Is the constant pressure to innovate actually helping, or are we just burning budget on shiny objects while missing the fundamentals of understanding the customer?
