Are electric cars ready to replace gas vehicles for average drivers?
I've been driving a gasoline car for 15 years and recently switched to an electric vehicle. The range anxiety is real, but so is the cost savings on fuel and maintenance. After 10,000 km, I've spent about $300 on charging versus $1,500 on gas for my old car. Still, I wonder if the environmental benefits are worth the higher upfront price for most people. Do you think electric cars are truly ready to replace gas vehicles for the average driver, or are we overestimating their readiness?
