Is organic produce really worth the higher price?
I've been buying organic produce for five years now, and I still can't tell if the higher price is actually buying me better health or just peace of mind. The studies I've read show only marginal differences in nutrient content, and the pesticide residue levels on conventional produce are usually within safety limits anyway. But then I think about the long-term effects of cumulative exposure, and the uncertainty makes me want to err on the side of caution. Is the organic premium really worth it, or are we just paying for a story?
