Should labels list every compound in 'natural flavors'?
I've been a food scientist for 12 years, and after testing over 300 packaged snacks, I believe 'natural flavors' on labels are misleading consumers. The term covers a cocktail of chemical compounds, and it's not always healthier than artificial ones — yet marketing pushes it as clean. Do you think food labels should be forced to list every compound inside 'natural flavor'?
