Does mindfulness really rewire our stress response or is it just a placebo?
I used to think that mindfulness was just another buzzword until I started applying it to my daily commute. Instead of scrolling through my phone on the train, I focused on my breath for just 10 minutes a day. After a month, my anxiety levels seemed noticeably lower, and I felt more present at work, but I still wonder if it's the technique itself or just the act of taking a break that helps. Can a simple practice like this truly rewire our stress response, or are we just fooling ourselves with placebo effects?
