Should a small logistics firm invest in AI scheduling or stay manual?
I run a small logistics company with 12 employees, and we're at a crossroads about adopting AI scheduling tools. The software promises to cut dispatch time by 40%, but it costs $800 a month and my older staff are wary of learning it. On one hand, I've seen competitors automate and grow faster; on the other, I'm not convinced the tool understands the unpredictable delays our drivers face on rural routes. We need to stay profitable, but I also worry about losing the human touch with clients who call in for last-minute changes. What would you do if you had to choose between investing in automation or sticking with the manual process that works but limits us?
