I read a review today claiming that food trucks are killing neighborhood restaurants, and I honestly can't see it that way. Around here, the taco truck by the hardware store has customers lined up at noon, but the sit-down places two blocks over are still full at dinner. Sure, some vendors might skip health inspections or undercut prices, but most are building regulars the same way a diner does. My question is whether street food and small restaurants can truly coexist, or if one ultimately pushes the other out in most cities?
