Does excessive screen time harm children's emotional regulation?
I'm a mom of three and I've noticed that kids who get more screen time tend to struggle more with emotional regulation at home. Schools keep pushing tablets into classrooms, but I wonder if we're sacrificing self-soothing skills for digital literacy. Is it fair to say that too much screen time harms kids' ability to manage their emotions, or am I just seeing a correlation that isn't causation? I've seen my own kids get more irritable after long sessions, but maybe it's about content or lack of outdoor play.
