I'm a dad to two girls, and I've been wrestling with whether gender-neutral parenting is actually doing them a favor or just adding confusion. We've tried to avoid strict boy/girl labels at home, but at school, they naturally gravitate to pink and princesses anyway. Is it fair to impose our ideals when the real world isn't neutral, or are we giving them a better foundation? I don't have clear answers, and I'd love to hear from others who've navigated this.
