Should tenants have a say in smart meter data sharing?
I just found out my landlord installed smart meters in every apartment without telling us, and now he's selling the anonymized usage data to a local utility company. He claims it's for 'energy efficiency,' but nobody asked me if I wanted my daily routine mapped out. Shouldn't tenants have a say in how much of their private data is collected and shared, even if it's technically in the lease agreement?
