Homework has been a fixture in schools for generations, but I'm not sure it actually teaches students more than it stresses them out. In Finland, students get almost no homework and still outperform many countries that pile it on heavily. I've seen my own kids come home exhausted after seven hours and then have to do another three hours of worksheets, which feels counterproductive. Could we really cut homework drastically without hurting academic results, or are we too stuck in tradition to try?
