Is building your own PC still worth it?
Hardware enthusiasts love to argue that PC building is dead, but the last three years have shown the opposite. I just built a new rig with an AMD Ryzen 7 and an RTX 4070 Super, and the process was more exciting than ever, with custom cooling and RGB options exploding. However, prebuilt prices have dropped so much that my total cost was only $200 less than a comparable Alienware, and that's before factoring in my five hours of troubleshooting. Is the DIY route really still worth it for most people, or are we just fooling ourselves for the sake of a hobby?
