Does flat design sacrifice usability for aesthetics?
Flat design has dominated UI for a decade, but I've noticed it often sacrifices usability for aesthetics. When I tested a popular banking app with older relatives, they struggled to identify clickable buttons because nothing looked interactive. Skeuomorphism had flaws, but at least it gave visual cues that guided users naturally. Isn't it time we admitted that pure flat design fails real users?
