Do voice assistants on our phones really make us more productive, or do they just add another layer of distraction? I tried using Siri to set reminders and timers while cooking, but half the time it misheard me or needed a repeated command. The convenience feels real at first, yet the constant corrections and re-dos eat up more time than old-fashioned typing. Maybe the net effect is negative for most people outside of hands-free driving scenarios, but I'm not fully convinced either way yet.
