Cycling infrastructure in Hanoi is patchy at best, and I've seen too many narrow lanes that suddenly disappear at intersections. Last week I nearly hit a pedestrian because the bike lane forced me onto the sidewalk. Do we really need more bike lanes when the city can't even maintain the existing ones properly? Investing in them without fixing the overall street design seems wasteful and risky. Maybe the real solution is to prioritize public transit and pedestrian zones first, not bikes.
