Is cryptocurrency really useful for everyday people?
Cryptocurrency is often pitched as the future of money, but I'm not convinced it solves real problems for ordinary people. I've watched friends lose savings on volatile meme coins while transaction fees on Bitcoin remain higher than a bank transfer. Even with Ethereum's improvements, the average person still faces confusing wallets, scam risks, and zero consumer protection. Should we really encourage wider adoption when the core use case seems to be speculation rather than daily payments?
