Blockchain's core value proposition is decentralization, but every practical use case I see in supply chain or healthcare ends up as a permissioned network controlled by a consortium. If the whole point is cutting out trusted intermediaries, but we keep needing them to resolve disputes, is blockchain actually better than a shared database?
