Electric cars are not the environmental savior they're marketed as. Mining lithium for a single EV battery produces more toxic waste than a comparable gas car does in its entire lifetime, and the grid still runs on coal in many states. I'm not saying we should stick with gasoline forever, but pretending EVs are zero-emission is misleading.
