Are doorbell cameras worth it despite privacy concerns?
I've been following the rise in package thefts in my neighborhood, and it makes me wonder: should we be investing more in surveillance tech like doorbell cameras, or does that just create a false sense of security? The police here recovered about 30% of stolen goods last year, which sounds low, but maybe that's typical. I'm torn because I want to feel safe, but I also worry about privacy. What has worked for others in reducing crime without turning every street into an episode of Big Brother?
