Should stricter antibiotic rules be enforced now?
Antibiotics are losing their power, and I think we're not taking the threat seriously enough. I saw my own doctor hand out amoxicillin for a viral cold last month, and that kind of overprescription is fueling resistance everywhere. We need stricter rules on prescribing and better patient education, not just new drugs that will fail too. Are we willing to accept the tough measures before routine infections become deadly again?
